Matchday S01E02 Manchester

The second instalment of our Matchday series with adidas Originals. Rolph is visiting 9 European cities with iconic football clubs and documenting what a match day in their area looks like. The second report is in one of Europe’s greatest football cities of them all: Manchester, England. The Manchester area houses two footballing giants: United and City. But don’t forget Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers! Apart from their footballing legacy Manchester is home to more icons: musical culture. Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Smiths, a legendary night club in ’the Hacienda’, we can go on and on. This episode Rolph’s visiting the Northern Quarter which includes lots of cool bars, coffee places and restaurants. Combine that with a heavy load of mural art and you get a vibe we can definitely get used to. Main focus point is Old Trafford of course. Sir Alex Ferguson’s (and Erik ten Hag’s) Manchester United plays Leicester City and Rolph’s been roaming the streets and alleys around the stadium to see what the Mancunians think about the club’s resurgence and what they are up to on match day.
