Ever since thát period, thankfully all those years ago, we’ve collectively adopted a more healthy lifestyle. Gyms have filled up, padel clubs are overbooked, going outside without seeing a runner is practically impossible nowadays. Physically getting healthier, mentally getting healthier, being one with nature or among people, making sure you have the happiest dog alive (which is impossible, they’re all happiest dogs alive), there’s multiple reasons for our active lifestyles.
Mizuno is dedicated to assisting every athlete as they journey through the world of sports, with the constant desire to innovate and contribute to society through the advancement of sporting goods. An athlete, in Mizuno’s eyes, doesn’t mean the people you only see on TV, an athlete hides in everyone of us. In our area, we’re fortunate enough to walk out the door and be surrounded by trees and green. The smell of a forest is something we all hold dear. Whether it’s the break of dawn: going out for a run, mist through the trees, dew on the ground or the evening stroll through nature: winding down from an intensive day’s work, no sunlight meaning the only senses triggered is the rustling of leaves. In any case, there’s always that fantastic pine tree smell. Nature scents trigger us in a way city life won’t ever.
Together with Mizuno & Roos Lubbers we teamed up and tried to capture that gorgeous pine smell. Whether you have access to nature where you live and get inspired regularly, or sadly don’t and something’s missing in your life, our version of the Wave Mujin LS GTX each contain a vial of home spray, Pine Mist, and a Pine Mist-scented tree. The scent consists of the Douglas pine, different types of mint, marjoram and orange scented thyme. All gathered out of the Maasduinen, only 10 kilometres from Calico Club. Roos Lubbers is a scent specialist and her Pine Mist wild craft was distilled out of 64 kilos of gathered material.
We think everyone deserves that fresh pine scent in their life. We hope it inspires everyone to put on a pair of Mizuno Wave Mujin LS GTX and head out to nature, and return home safely with dry socks.
